**Grudges:** When the PC defeats Mara, she will hold a Grudge, becoming stronger in their next fight during the same night. It will wear off after the fight, whether the PC wins or loses. Many factors may help decide which bonus Mara will use; if a fight's result meets multiple criteria, the grudge listed first is shown. The Grudge is determined by whether she loses while:
  *Having the Inspired or Perfect Plan Grudge
    *Bonus - [[:trait#grudge_traits|Plan B]]: Mara will automatically use an [[item:consumables#energy_drink|Energy Drink]] or [[item:consumables#super_energy_drink|Super Energy Drink]] when out of Stamina. She needs them to be in her inventory to use them, so she can run out.
  *No other criteria are met (Mara WILL have one of the below Grudges, none are more likely than the others)
    *Bonus - [[:trait#grudge_traits|Experimental Weaponry]]: Mara's [[item:sex_toys|sex toys]] are 100% more effective. (Only chosen if Mara has the [[character:mara#fighting_style|Mad Scientist]] trait, otherwise chooses Inspired. Currently always gets overwritten by Inspired.)
    *Bonus - [[:trait#grudge_traits|Inspired]]: Mara has +10 [[attribute:Cunning]] for the current fight.

Mara is a brilliant engineering student. She’s a workaholic and obsesses over her projects at the expense of a social life and sleep. She’s friendly and likable, but is too busy to maintain any real relationships. Her lifestyle causes her to build up a lot of stress, which she vents with erotic games and occasionally with casual sex. The Games are her new favorite way to blow off steam. Mara isn’t really a Dom, but she likes to find ways of dominating her lovers, mostly for fun. Her attempts to gain the upper hand backfire about half the time, but she doesn’t really mind. She does not know her limits and when she gains access to experimental technology, she becomes more enthusiastic than ever. 

===== Affection Values: =====
[[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] tracks closeness between characters. In addition to helping determine who an NPC will help when they intervene during a fight, it also helps determine whether certain scenes are available. Such scenes are listed below.

[[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] is primarily increased by visiting, but many scenes listed in this section increase it as well.

==== Visiting: ====
Mara can be unlocked to visit by talking to the [[character:information_broker|information broker]] during the daytime. Until the player has 15 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Attraction]] with Mara, the PC will only be given the option to Leave, but gain 2 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Attraction]] with each visit. 

After 15 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Attraction]] is reached the PC will have the option to play games (associated with [[attribute:Cunning]]), have sex (associated with [[attribute:Seduction]]), or spar with her (associated with [[attribute:Power]]). Each such interaction gives the PC 1 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] with Mara and has a chance of raising the associated [[attribute:attributes|Attribute]] by 1 point for either or both the PC and Mara. (The game reports when this occurs for the PC, but not when it occurs for Mara) In addition, if the PC has a given amount of [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] with Mara, you may access other actions. These all also increase [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] by 1, generally have a chance of increasing an associated [[attribute:attributes|Attribute]], and usually grant the PC and Mara a [[:trait]] the first time they are chosen. These are:

  *(12 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]]): Tickling (associated with [[attribute:Seduction]]) - Grants [[:trait#learn-able_traits|Tickle Monster]], which increases temptation and weaken damage the user deals with [[mechanic:skills:Tickle]] while the target is nude.
  *(12 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]]): Critical Hit (associated with [[attribute:Power]]) - Grants [[:trait#learn-able_traits|Heel Drop]] which increases pain damage the user deals with [[mechanic:skills:Stomp]], upgrading it to Double Legdrop.
  *(16 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]]): Immobilized (associated with [[attribute:Cunning]]) - Grants [[:trait#learn-able_traits|Spider]], allowing the creation of [[night:deployable:spiderweb|Spiderweb traps]] which case a victim to immediately lose if encountered while trapped.
  *(1 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]], PC has 3 [[attribute:Arcane]]): Faerie play (does not advance an [[attribute:attributes|Attribute]]) - Grants [[:trait#learn-able_traits|Fae Friend]] which reduces the cost to summon faeries by 33%. Only the PC is granted this trait. (The scene has a 2nd branch available if the PC has 24 [[attribute:Arcane]])

==== Night Off: ====
There are no games on Sunday; on that day, all characters have the night off. In addition, if the player chooses to add more opponents to the Games, some number of characters will have the night off each night. If the PC has the night off while Mara also has night off and has a certain amount of [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] with Mara, an additional option will appear. It displays a scene and gives +3 Affection with Mara. The option appears if the PC has:

  *12 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] with Mara and the PC has at least 1 [[attribute:Science]]. There are 2 ways the scene can play out, but it makes no mechanical difference which the PC chooses.

==== Threesomes: ====
During the day, a threesome may take place instead of the PC's normal action choice. Those that involve Mara have a small chance of triggering if the PC has:

  *15 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] with Mara and 15 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] with [[character:Angel]] while [[character:Angel]] and Mara have 10 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] with each other
  *15 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] with Mara and 15 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] with [[character:Cassie]] while [[character:Cassie]] and Mara have 10 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] with each other
  *20 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] with Mara and 20 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] with [[character:Jewel]] while [[character:Jewel]] and Mara have 5 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] with each other

==== Video Games: ====
When choosing to play [[day:activities:video_games|Video Games]] during the day, one of a few scenes with Mara may occur. They give +1 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] with all participants. These can occur if the PC has:

  *5 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] with Mara
  *10 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] with Mara and has seen the previous scene at least once
  *Seen both of the previous scenes at least once and has seen both of [[character:cassie#video_games|Cassie's first two]] Video Game scenes at least once (The first scene requires 5 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] with [[character:Cassie]], the 2nd requires 10 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] and having seen the first scene)

==== Watching Porn: ====
When choosing to [[day:activities:porn|Watch Porn]] during the day, a scene with Mara may occur. It gives +1 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] with Mara. This can occur if the PC has:

  *5 [[mechanic:attraction_and_affection|Affection]] with Mara

===== Victory and Defeat Scenes: =====
Defeating, drawing with, or being defeated by Mara during the Night display a scene based on many different factors. If a fight's result meets multiple criteria, the scene listed first is shown.

==== Mara Victory Scenes ====
Displayed scene is determined by whether Mara ends the match while:

  *Pegging the PC in the ass
  *Having a [[mechanic:pets:slime]] summoned
  *Having sex with the PC AND Mara has a [[item:sex_toys#gadgets|Shock Glove]]. She gets one the first time she visits the [[day:activities:Workshop]]. (50% chance to display if it's conditions are met)
  *Having sex with the PC
  *Having the [[character:mara#fighting_style|Mad Scientist]] trait and has a flask of [[item:consumables#flasks|Lubricant]] (50% chance to display if it's conditions are met)
  *No other scene is displayed

==== PC Victory Scenes ====
Displayed scene is determined by whether the PC ends the match while:

  *Mara is pinned
  *Having anal sex with Mara
  *Having sex with Mara
  *The PC's current arousal is less than 30% of their max arousal
  *Mara has the [[character:mara#fighting_style|Mad Scientist]] trait and has a [[item:consumables#flasks|Sensitivity Flask]] (50% chance to display if it's conditions are met)
  *No other scene is displayed

Displayed scene is determined by whether:

  *The PC ends the match while having sex with Mara
