A quick question about character spoilers

I have another question for the community, though it applies more to people considering writing content. The Content Submission Page contains basic information for the characters, which I figured would be useful for writers. I kept it pretty spoiler-free, but it occurs to me that more detailed information and guidelines would be save people from needing to dig through all the existing scenes.

I personally have never been bothered by spoilers, but I know it bothers some people. Do you guys want me to add more information to the character profiles, knowing that some people will inevitably stumble into significant spoilers, or should I hold back the details until a writer requests them?

Should the character writing guides contain details that could be considered spoilers?

    1. That, as well as how characters response to events in the game. I’m also including NPCs that aren’t currently listed.

  1. Just to ask the question, what about hiding the spoilers behind a “click here to show” button? A couple of lines of javascript would be all it would take, and WordPress might even have that built in…

    1. Yeah, that is what I would do, but people are going to go into the spoilers regardless of how they’re presented. I just wanted to make sure the community is ok with it, which the vote seems to indicate they overwhelmingly are.

  2. It’s for the sake of submissions, where all necessary information should be available so people won’t waste time writing subpar/unfitting stuff or have to bother themselves and Bard with same repeated questions over and over again. Not to mention those who won’t be willing to setup whole mail exchange just so they can make a decent scene.

With no answer not only I suspect many people who’d write anything would be discouraged, but those who will write either will demand lot of correction from Bard (since their guidelines weren’t sufficiently detailed) or Bard having to struggle with emails.

It’s not like people are forced to read those spoilers, especially if they won’t deal with writing for the game, anyway – nor do they have to have all the scenes copy-pasted into spoilers.
