Grudges: When the PC defeats Jewel, she will hold a Grudge, becoming stronger in their next fight during the same night. It will wear off after the fight, whether the PC wins or loses. Many factors may help decide which bonus Jewel will use; if a fight's result meets multiple criteria, the grudge listed first is shown. The Grudge is determined by whether she loses while:

Profile:

Jewel’s father is a military officer, which resulted in her family moving constantly between military bases. She was a tomboy growing up and frequently got into fights. Her early sexual experiences involved humiliating boys she had beaten so she associates sex with competition. As she matured, she would only sleep with guys who impressed her at sports or martial arts. She considers the Games and the sex involved to be a natural extension to normal martial arts competitions. She tends to become more sexually aggressive with strong competition, but she is fair. She’s very dominant when she wins, but will submit to almost anything when she loses.

Affection Values:

Affection tracks closeness between characters. In addition to helping determine who an NPC will help when they intervene during a fight, it also helps determine whether certain scenes are available. Such scenes are listed below.

Affection is primarily increased by visiting, but many scenes listed in this section increase it as well.

Visiting:

Jewel can be unlocked to visit by talking to the information broker during the daytime. Until the player has 15 Attraction with Jewel, the PC will only be given the option to Leave, but gain 2 Attraction with each visit.

After 15 Attraction is reached the PC will have the option to play games (associated with Cunning), have sex (associated with Seduction), or train with her (associated with Power). Each such interaction gives the PC 1 Affection with Jewel and has a chance of raising the associated Attribute by 1 point for either or both the PC and Jewel. (The game reports when this occurs for the PC, but not when it occurs for Jewel) In addition, if the PC has a given amount of Affection with Jewel, you may access other actions. These all also increase Affection by 1, generally have a chance of increasing an associated Attribute, and usually grant the PC and Jewel a trait the first time they are chosen. These are:

Night Off:

There are no games on Sunday; on that day, all characters have the night off. In addition, if the player chooses to add more opponents to the Games, some number of characters will have the night off each night. If the PC has the night off while Jewel also has night off and has a certain amount of Affection with Jewel, an additional option will appear. It displays a scene and gives +3 Affection with Jewel.
