Rin runs the black market on campus that sells to both participants and normal students. She hired Mike Ridley as middleman (and fall guy), but since he does not know about the Games, she talks to premium customers directly. She is trained in religious arts and exorcism, which she uses to contain and manipulate curses. Despite her religious training, she has no moral concerns about selling artifacts related to the dark arts.
Affection Values:
Affection tracks closeness between characters. In addition to helping determine who an NPC will help when they intervene during a fight, it also helps determine whether certain scenes are available. Such scenes are listed below.
Affection is primarily increased by visiting, but many scenes listed in this section increase it as well.
Dark Training:
Rin offers training in Dark when visited at the Black Market. It costs $400 + $100 per rank the PC has in an advanced attribute for a training session. Each gives the PC 1 rank in Dark, 1 Affection with Rin, and displays one of a number of scenes. Which scene is determined by how high the PC's Dark is after the session; if their Dark exactly matches the required value for a scene, that particular scene will display. If it doesn't match a particular value, a scene for which their Dark exceeds is randomly chosen. The values are
Fetish Training:
Rin also offers training in Fetish when visited at the Black Market. It also costs $400 + $100 per rank the PC has in an advanced attribute for a training session. Each gives the PC 1 rank in Fetish, 1 Affection with Rin, and displays one of a number of scenes. Which scene is determined by how high the PC's Fetish is after the session; if their Fetish exactly matches the required value for a scene, that particular scene will display. Unlike Dark training, however, if their Fetish does not match a value, a scene for which their Fetish exceeds.
